Bangaldesh, July 7, 2021 –  Cyclect Energy, a developer of energy projects in Asia, has been selected as the bidder for a 50 MW solar PV project in Bangladesh. The project, which will be located in Chuadanga, was tendered by the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) in 2018 on a build, own and operate basis.

This project aligns with Bangladesh’s goal to generate 40% of its electricity from renewables by 2050 and will significantly contribute to the country’s current 3% of total generation capacity from renewables. The BPDB will purchase electricity from the solar power plant for a period of 20 years.

Cyclect Energy specializes in the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects, including solar, cogeneration, and biomass power plants. The company has a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and on budget, and has completed numerous projects in the region.

“We are excited to be selected as the bidder for this project and are committed to contributing to Bangladesh’s transition to a more sustainable energy future,” said a representative of Cyclect Energy.
