500MW Data Centre Park in Kuching
One of the event’s key highlights was our presentation on Future Data, a 500MW data centre park in Kuching, Malaysia, developed with TSG Group. This green-energy-powered park will drive the digital economy in Borneo. We’ve secured a 17MW agreement with Global Telecommunications for GPU as a service, marking a significant milestone in the project’s development.
Cooling as a Service: Driving Sustainability
We launched a collaboration with KJTS to introduce Cooling as a Service, an innovative model that guarantees cost and carbon savings. Through this approach, Cyclect invests directly in our clients’ cooling systems, reducing both operational costs and environmental impact for data centres and other industries.
Cogen and other Energy-Efficient Solutions for Data Centres
At the event, Cyclect presented a range of sustainable energy solutions designed to enhance efficiency and reduce costs:
- Cogeneration: Efficiently generating power and capturing waste heat for cooling, achieving up to 85% efficiency.
- AI-Driven Predictive Maintenance: Using AI to enhance the reliability and lifespan of electrical infrastructure.
- Facilities Management for Data Centres: Ensuring uninterrupted operations and optimal uptime through comprehensive, data-driven facilities management services.
Thought Leadership at TechTalks
Cyclect’s expertise was further demonstrated through a series of TechTalks, featuring industry experts:
- Lawrence Chong, CEO of Future Data, shared insights on the development of the green-powered 500MW data centre park in Sarawak.
- Adrian Lim, COO of KJTS, discussed the benefits of Cooling as a Service and how it helps clients optimize energy use.
- Anton Menkveld, COO of Numen, highlighted how AI-driven maintenance solutions can enhance the performance of electrical systems in data centres.
- Ashraf Suppiah, GM of Energy Solutions at Cyclect, alongside Emilio from Solar Turbines and ABC from Shuangliang, explored innovations in cogeneration, turbine technology, and absorption chillers to optimize energy use in data centres.
