We are looking for an experienced Safety Coordinator to help us minimize the risk of job-related accidents and comply with regulatory requirements. You will monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities. You will also develop policies to promote occupational health and safety (OSH) awareness for the project site. Safety coordinators should be well-versed in all OSH dictations. Your work will be focused on prevention so you need to be diligent and analytical. You will possess a keen eye for detail and a sensitivity for potential dangers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct tool-box meetings, daily site inspections and attend safety meetings.
- Responsible for risk assessments and ensuring the safety of all personnel on-site.
- Organize safety training, safety promotions and safety awareness.
- Prepare and submit safety reports in accordance to site requirements.
- Maintain and update risk assessments’ master record for three years.
- Review risk assessments in accordance to the current Workplace Safety and Health Act’s (WSHA) requirement.
- Address all workplace safety and health observation reports and improve workplace environments.
- Strengthen the safety culture of our workforce and ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
- Conduct incident and accident investigations and maintain proper documentation of all safety records.
- File accident and injury reports to Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
Requirements
- Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B).
- Minimum 2 years of safety coordinator experience in electrical field.
- Good verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
