Van Air Systems Desiccant Compressed Air Dryers (D-Series) are single-tower deliquescent compressed air dryers for stationary applications. It removes harmful water vapour from compressed air lines. When used with Dry-O-Lite desiccant, the Desiccant Compressed Air Dryer automatically provides a dew point approximately 20°F lower than the air temperature at the vessel inlet. For example, if the air inlet temperature is 80°F, the D-series Dryer delivers a 60°F dew point. If the air inlet temperature is 50°F, the dryer delivers a 32°F dew point. Ideal for a wide range of applications, these compressed air dryers protect against freeze-ups in the winter and liquid in the summer. D-Series Compressed Air Dryers may be installed inside or outside, and with a pressure drop of less than 1% of the operating pressure, they are ideal for low-pressure applications. Also with no moving parts or electrical components, D-Series Compressed Air Dryers can be applied with confidence in dirty and hazardous locations.
Desiccant Compressed Air Dryers
The term Dew Point comes up often when talking about drying compressed air for our customers. Depending on the application, we will specify the right products in order to come up with the most cost effective dew point for any given facility. The dew point — which is the temperature where moisture starts to condense — is important when talking about compressed air as we want to prevent dew from forming inside piping and valves. Ambient temperatures may vary in a manufacturing environment as compressed air line may run indoors, outdoors, through air conditioned or refrigerated areas, etc. To ensure condensation does not reach the machinery the compressed air is being fed to, our products are designed to dry compressed air to a dew point that is at least 10°F below the lowest ambient temperature that the piping is exposed to.
When it comes to supplying portable compressed air dryers, Van Air Systems is unparalleled in the industry. Because we design our units around the use of desiccants that we manufacture in-house, this has allowed us to test our designs for function, durability, and duration over the entire lifespan of the unit. Other factors to consider when purchasing a portable compressed air dryer are overall dimensions of the unit, aftercooler dimensions, and a warranty. Van Air Systems units are robust in design, having a sturdy construction complete with a skid style base for easier transportation between sites. Our portable solutions feature an oversized aftercooler and air operated fan motor, eliminating the need for electricity on location to power the dryer. Lastly, Van Air Systems portable air dryers are designed for the long haul, and come complete with an industry leading warranty.
